FAQ/Contact Me

I invite you to join me on my personal and professional journey, and I hope you will make your company felt by leaving comments, questions, and/or suggestions. Please feel free to contact me personally as well, which you can find contact information below.

Q: Who are you? Why did you start a blog?

A: First off, welcome to my blog! I am glad you are here. My name is Hillary Veitch, a young professional from Normal, Illinois. I originally started my blog when I was an undergraduate student at Illinois State University and pursued a study abroad experience in Granada, Spain. Since then, my blog grew into frequent posts about travel, teaching, and interesting events that have happened in my life. The longest stretch of my posts from 2014-2017 focused on my time as an English Teaching Assistant with The Fulbright Program in South Korea, and all of the wonderful stories, adventures, and travels that I experienced during those three years. After six years of no updates, I've decided to make a comeback. Newer posts (2023 and beyond) will likely focus on my experiences as a public high school teacher, my hobbies, and my travels.

Q: What is your academic background?

A: I most recently earned my Master of Arts from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Teaching English as a Second Language. Prior to that, I earned my Bachelor's of Arts from Illinois State University in Spanish Secondary Education (K-12 certification) with a minor in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).

Q: Besides traveling and blogging, what are some of your other hobbies and interests?

A: My biggest passion is my career, teaching! But when I am not teaching, I enjoy outdoor exercise, playing my Nintendo Switch, trying different types of beer, and spending time with my friends, family, and my golden retriever.

Q: How can I contact you?

A: All of my social media accounts are listed on this website.
